Roy O'Brien
Director
Roy is a Chartered Director with over 17 years experience
in delivering Pan European staffing recruitment solutions.
Passionate about his work, Roy is proud of his performance
and results as Business Development Director for a successful
International recruitment business over 10 years. Seeking
new challenges Roy moved on to deliver Business Growth Consultancy
before returning to his chosen field of recruitment to found
and build Proxime. After his family his hobbies include
skiing and paragliding.
David Gadd
Director
David has 18 years experience of recruitment within
the IT sector and business development within established
& start up businesses. Having delivered recruitment
solutions to a vast selection of industries and across many
skill sets, David has focused on building Proxime Ltd up
over the last three years. Interests include many sports
such as: tennis, football, horse riding & skiing. David now manages our Canadian Office.
Rob Williams
Director
Rob is a chartered engineer who holds a degree in Civil
Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand,
and an MBA from the University of Surrey, where he conducted
research into the role of non-executive directors. Rob has
over 12 years experience as a recruitment professional,
including working for the world's largest international
search firm. Rob specialises in executive-level searches
and has delivered assignments across the UK, Europe and
around the world. Rob is married with two children and enjoys
triathlon.
Kath Beaney
Finance Controller
Kath has worked in Accountancy for over 25 years and has been working at Proxime for 2½. Kath loves accounts! She is a mum of 2 girls and in her spare time she like to keep fit by taking courses in "body attack" and "legs, bums and tums". Kath is very sporty and competitive, and will never back down from a challenge!
Rick Comber
Rick has 15 years experience with FMCG organisations in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Sales Training & Customer Training environs. Rick is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and more recently worked as a Business Growth Consultant before joining to help businesses with their recruitment of top senior sales professionals and training and development professionals. Rick’s spare time is taken up working as secretary of a Musical Theatre society and as Fixtures Secretary of his local cricket club.

Ali Hollingbery
Head of Research
Ali graduated from Exeter University with BSc Honours in Biological Sciences and spent 7 years working in arable research and the development of novel crops. She joined an executive research company in 2004 and was promoted to Head of Research in January 2007. Ali joined Proxime Search in June 2008 and enjoys working in retail, scientific, manufacturing and support services. Whilst missing working outdoors, Ali manages to keep sane by collecting interesting pebbles for her desk (!) and running with her collie dog at lunchtime. Ali is an Operational Member of Wiltshire Search and Rescue and is PR Officer on their management committee.
Mandy Kent
Mandy says "recruitment is fun" Mandy has worked at Proxime fo just over 4 years, she is committed to building relationships with clients and candidates, her unique and natural approach to recruitment is as refreshing as it is appreciated. Mandy's interest outside of work include going to the gym and spending time with her daughter and husband.
Melanie Melham
Melanie has been with Proxime for 3 years. Melanie's enthusiasm and attention to detail have proved invaluable in numerous succesful hires. Melanie is a busy mum with 4 young children and loves DIY
David Paul
David has over eighteen years experience of recruitment- predominantly within the Financial Sector (Retail Banks, Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Financial Software companies). Having delivered recruitment solutions to a number of financial institutions across many skill sets, David is focused on building a partnership with both clients and candidates. Outside of work David's interests include family and sport.
Sean Ridgwell
Sean holds a Sports and Recreation Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management. Following his studies he was employed by a major blue chip construction supplies company to produce a marketing research plan to aid their business development. After a short period in corporate sales, Sean joined a recruitment company and in his management position became an intrinsic member of staff responsible for building it up to become a major agency within its field with a turnover of over £60m. Sean enjoys applying his marketing and recruitment knowledge and experience to create imaginative yet pragmatic recruitment solutions for his clients. Sean’s interest in sport now is very much from a spectator perspective rather than participation. Among his interests Sean is an avid fan of AFC Wimbledon Football Club and enjoys travelling when time allows.
